We did it! Thank you all so much for your support on June 3. This has been an exciting campaign and I am honored to have won the Democratic nomination for the 54th Assembly seat. Now it is time to get ready for the Fall Campaign.

Please join me at my campaign headquarters for the Fall Campaign Kick-off this Saturday, September 6 from 10AM to Noon. The campaign headquarters is located at 2115 Bellflower Blvd in Long Beach (3/4 of a mile south of the 405 freeway.)

Last week's convention watch party was a great opportunity to gather and be part of history. The event took place at Smooth's in Downtown Long Beach, where we watched the roll call, the Democratic nomination and Joe Biden's acceptance speech.

Many of my campaign volunteers attended and enjoyed viewing the historic calling of the roll and the surprise motion for acclamation by Senator Clinton.

Last month we dedicated the Joy Dowell memorial bench at Wardlow Park. It was part of the annual Great American Picnic celebration put on by the Democratic Women's Study Club.

Joy Dowell was club president for many years and the memorial bench under the trees in Wardlow Park serves as recognition of her many years of service as a community activist.

I look forward to representing you in Long Beach, San Pedro, Rancho Palos Verdes, Signal Hill and Catalina. Together with your help, we will win in November!
